Ready for take off....

I leave for Chile this Friday.... two days! I've been packing like crazy, studying like crazy and trying to get my life in order before heading out to South America. Santiago is closer to the bottom of Chile and nestled right up against the Andes mountains. Looks like Boulder right? Maybe plus a few thousand people.... and a new language.

I will be in the September volunteer class ( there are 3 volunteer classes each year). There are about 12 others come in with me this week and they are from all over the world. We'll be spending the first week in orientation, getting to know the city, each other and learning about what we will be doing!

I will be working at Hogar San Francisco, a Catholic home for girls ages 4 to 19. Not too sure exactly what I'll be doing everyday, but I will be there five days a week.

More to come as the adventures begin! I'm not sure what my internet will be like in the next couple of days, but I've been told I should have it in my apartment :)
